I use a decent fruit squash , loads of demerera sugar and a dash of salt
Or coffee in thermos with loads of sugar.

I stayed with a friend in LV last year. He uses a bike. There are quite few cycle routes within the built-up areas eg LV and Hnederson. There seemed to be reasonable scope.
I know have a Nevada sticker on my car stating it is LAW to give 3ft space when overtaking.
Some of the surrounding desert and mountains are fantastic

I consider it lethal and had to return a Cube bike which was totally scary, as doing a U-turn on a country lane.
Unless it is needed for specialist reasons it should not be on standard bikes

I have never used GPS . Always used maps or aerial photos, the latter in deserts and 64 degrees north.
Much prefer an OS map , but was with students last year in a thick pine forest in the USA where GPS allowed greater precision in identifying location

Black is the worst colour as it can render a cyclist invisible. That doesn't help for accidents
Perhaps it is time for brighter colours and to look better
