Hi PK & thanks for the reply. Glad to hear that you're sorted. It's given me something to be optimistic about :D If I could achieve your level of rehab I'd be a happy bunny. I'm not sure when the Smidsy ride was  How long did it take from starting the stretching/exercises until the Februa...

Re: Patellar Tendinopathy

I've been diagnosed with the above in my right knee & was wondering if anyone else has had this ? I'm 48 & have never had a days ill health in my life. It's come as a real shock. The physio reckons there's a well recognised routine for recovery from this & it'll take 12 weeks. I can sta...

Re: Cyclists, an opinion from a lorry driver

I would never blame a cyclist for an incident that resulted from undertaking,h. 1. Do you REALLY mean that? 2. When i was training as a volunteer for Victim Support, it was made clear that there was a big difference between victim blaming and helping victims recognise that different behaviour might...

Re: Cyclists, an opinion from a lorry driver

And what of the frequent case where the lorry pulls up alongside the cyclist before turning left? . I too often see cyclists pulling up at traffic lights hard on the left, one foot on the pavement. Far better to follow the advice of cycle craft and stop in the centre of the lane. I always stop in t...

If both brakes fail? You might as well discuss going to the moon on a pogo stick. excactly that happened to a friend on a very steep down hill into a villlage on the C2C ( mechanical discs on mtb, poor maintence and too manyb hills!) He opted to stop against the cottage door he found approaching hi...
