Re: Blackburn Rack + Ortlieb Compatibility?

Francster I have the panorama with low rider. I have ortlieb panniers(roller classic) I don't have any problems whatsoever with fitting them, granted the first fit takes a few minutes longer to get them set up, but after that they are excellent. Have done quite a few short tours, and find the panorama...

Re: Blackburn Rack + Ortlieb Compatibility?

Hi, I have the ridgeback panorama with the same racks as yours. I also have the ortlieb roller classics which I found easy enough to fit, however the front ones do take a bit more time to get the bottom clip right. I think most panniers rattle slightly when empty, but I found no problems when loaded...

Re: Brake problem

Thank you all for some very useful information and links. I now have a better understanding of the braking system, and hopefully be able to sort the problem out, or at least improve it

Brake problem

My bike is a ridgeback panorama world, which I have had for about a year.It is an excellent bike in every way, with the exception of an ineffective back brake. The levers pull ok and the brake seems to be working ok,but it is absolutely useless,it barely slows the bike down, whereas the front one would...

Dawes Kara-Kum

Could anyone give me some advice on the Dawes Kara-kum ladies touring bike? My wife is looking for a new bike at present, and it looks quite good. The gearing is the same as is on my ridgeback panorama ie 48-36-26 front and 11-32 cassette, which I find to be more than adequate for touring. I would ap...

Re: Which Bike For Tour?

I don't know much about the focus bike, but I have a 2008 ridgeback panorama world. I find it to be a great touring bike, comfortable, well balanced with panniers on ,a good spread of gears for all types of terrain, and with the exception of the saddle(in the process of changing) I couldn't find faul...

Brooks Saddle

I would like some advice on buying a brooks saddle for my touring bike. I have been looking at the B17 standard, which seems to be within my budget. Are they as good as they're cracked up to be? There seems to be a big price difference from this model up to the next one. What is the difference? My bi...

mudguards for road bike

Hi everyone, I have a new giant tcr advanced with a triangle type seat post. Does anyone know if it is possible to get a rear mudguard which will clip on easily to this type of post, preferably carbon, but not necessarily. I don't like the race blades, had them before, and found them to be very fidd...

Re: Advice on a new touring bike

Hi,
Have you considered the Ridgeback Panorama World? I purchased one in 08, and I find it to be a fantastic touring bike. Comes with pannier racks, very comfortable on long distance. A pleasure to ride.
