Breskins Ferry

I have one day in Belgium / Netherlands. A ride to Hull and over night on the ferry to Zeebrugge and a 140 k trip round Zeeland via the Breskins cycling ferry. A few questions. What time to bikes disembark the Hull Zeebrugge ferry. What does the weather have to be like to stop the Breskins cycling f...

Re: Difficulty whilst tightening pedal into crank

Sorted it this morning.

Baby wiped the thread. Screwed in the pedal on the reverse side. Grease and presto.

Thanks for the tips

Difficulty whilst tightening pedal into crank

Swaped pedals tonight and the drive side crank pedal hasn't gone in smooth. It is OK till about the last two turns. Can you reface the thread or is it a sign from the crankset god?

Next question will be how?

Cheers

Re: Touring in Holland

I have a pet hate on forums when a question is asked but someone replies about something slightly different but that is what I am going to do, sorry. I have had 2 family holidays on Zeeland ( a large Island in the Southern Netherlands) I would restrict myself to here. It has everything we think of a...

Rear Dynamo

My Genesis TDF has a B&M Secula Plus tail light...which doesn't work. The headlight does, so I assume the dynamo is fine. I have taken out the connections and reconnected them but still nothing. Any ideas???

Pannier Advice

My Panniers are on the edge of life support so I am buying some new ones. I am hoping you will share your opinions with me as to which are best - 24 mile daily commute - one weekend tour each year. My old ones are Altura Arran and have served 10+ years so I have no complaints. I like that they have ...

Kermess Races

My Summer Holiday this year will be in Zeeland and I was hoping to find some Kermess races to watch. Does anyone know of a website where they are posted?

Tool Library

Was thinking my club should start one for members - are there any issues regarding insurance. We are affiliated to BC so have liabliity insurance through them.

Carradice multi-tool lost screw

Disappointed with my multitool. It fell apart in my jersey pocket, only a year old. Upon rescue one small screw was lost. I wrote (email) to them, no offer to replace and no ability (will) to provide the missing screw that would let me fix it. Really like the idea of using local, UK based companies ...

Insurance

I renewed today but nearly held back. I am also a member of BC as they offer personal injury insurance on top of the usual 3rd party (you pay a bit more)

Just something I think CTC should also offer on top of their 3rd party cover

Re: White Lines (don't do it)

Well, according to the rules that you quote (is that really the text - the mistake in the bit about "a cyclists" looks odd), you are legal if the traffic has stopped but technically not so if it hasn't (unless it's all cyclists, horses or a road works vehicle). I doubt that you are going ...
