Re: Cycleclips Newsletter
I'v had an instant automated response from the cycling@cycling address telling me they'll respond within 24hrs, which is good, but still no response from the membership@ address I found on the website. So either my message was ignored or the address information is incorrect, either of which are very...

Re: Cycleclips Newsletter
I contacted membership@cyclinguk.org first thing this morning. Not so much as an automated acknowledgement message so far. CycleClips lists cycling@cyclinguk.org as the contact email in the blurb at the end of the newsletter. Thanks, I'll give that a try also. The membership@ address is given on th...

Re: Cycleclips Newsletter
Thanks PH, at least that confirms it still exists!
I use gmail and have also checked my 'blocked messages, list, but no sign of it.
I'll have to contact cycling uk I guess.

Cycleclips Newsletter
Whatever happened to Cycleclips? I haven't had one for months, possibly years. I checked my online membership account details and it shows my correct e-mail and that I have opted in to the newsletter. The e-mails have not gone to my spam folder. Should I be getting the newsletter, or don't they do i...

Re: car registration plate when transporting bike
Here are a couple of solutions to carrying a bike with small car, may suit some. Saris Solo this works fine but only if an extra strap is added to keep the bike from swaying back and forth, oh and another short strap to keep the from wheel from turning. But only works if the lights on the car are l...

Re: car registration plate when transporting bike
Hello all, perhaps someone can help me with this query. I need to fit a registration plate to my bike when transporting it by car. I do not need a lighting board just a method of strapping the licence plate to the bike, googling licence plate holders just results in holders designed to fit the car,...

Re: Turbo static trainers
Yes, commonly referred to as 'indoor trainers', but can be used outside unless it's raining and it's connected to the mains! Using outdoors makes sense, as you will get very hot in the average heated home; I use a massive 24" fan in front of me even in the unheated garage, with the door open, f...

Re: Turbo static trainers
Not quite sure what you mean..........you can use them outdoors, but I wouldn't recommend leaving one outside as the rain won't do it much good. Even the most basic of trainers will be susceptible to this, and many now need to be plugged in to the mains for various reasons! I recommend using a train...

Re: TV coverage of 2019 Giro d'Italia?
You can get the Giro for free through such sites as Steephill but it is a bit hit and miss so I decided to pay the Eurosport subscription to receive online ccoverage on my laptop. This year the cost is £40 for a full year running from the day you pay. This has paid off with easy site access to all ...

That's great, Quest TV it is! I like to have something to look forward to in these dark times. Gawd knows why my searches never seem to find this info.

TV coverage of 2019 Giro d'Italia?
Every year I search for Giro, La Vuelta, & TdF for info about TV coverage (highlights fine, no need for live coverage) and can never find anything until the last minute, or worse, a week later. When I ask on a forum, someone sends me a link with the info, which I was unable to find previously......

Re: "Death by Dangerous Cycling" new offence?
There's absolutely no need for such a law to be introduced, and it's another example of the bigotry & hatred directed at cyclists. According to the DfT; Each year; Pedestrians killed by cyclists 2 Pedestrians seriously injured by cyclists 48 Pedestrians killed by motorists 388 Pedestrians seriou...

Re: Getting a bicycle delivered to the south of Spain
Just thought I'd revive this ancient post to ask if anyone has recent experience of sending their bike in a hard bike box to Spain? I'd like to send my bike to a hotel in Benissa, then have it sent back a week later. I tried a new service called https://www.bagsolo.com/ but their size restrictions e...
