Re: New Alfine 8-speed 2015 SG-S7000

I have an Alfine on my Charge Grater but it will not be new one. I wondered if you knew if there was anything on line which showed how to remove rear wheel as I can only find a you tube thing and I wanted more a handbook that I could maybe print out. You tube not handy in you're in garage on on road...

YORK RALLY

Does anyone know if the notice is true? I was told by a friend on Facebook. He gave me a link, which was broken, but I found one myself. As I am booked, have sent my cheque for camping, but not received a plot number, I'd like to know what's going on, as would everyone else I suppose. It's also a hig...

Re: Have fleas!

I had to resort to treating our lovely Siamese with Pets at Home's version of the flea killer in a tube, can't think of the name. I don't seem to have been bitten since. I have been using the inside of garlic pearles to put with cat's food, which I understood was a natural flea deterrent but it obvi...

Re: Charity shop bargains

I love charity shops and have done for years, even when I was earning a good salary. Recently I bought a pair of Lowe Alpine fleece tights which I had been thinking of buying anyway, for £1.25, were half price. Great stuff. Got a pair of what I think are Ugg boots for £1.00, a bit small but I could ...

Re: Victoria's change of gear

Years ago, most cyclists only trained on the bike. For a long time now as you all know they train with different disciplines. Does anyone remember when Beryl Burton was in the Krypton Factor? I think she came last. My Mum and I were talking about it the other day. I'm sure Victoria will do amazingly...

Re: Cyclists boat bike - ideas wanted!

Dahon do a folding MTB, they look quite good. Not cheap but a friend of mine was looking at them and was quite impressed. I envy you your boat. It must be great waking up in one. We must try a boating holiday sometime.

Micro? adjust seatpost

I decided to have a go on my road bike today. It has not been ridden for about 8 years. After having a preliminary ride round the block, I decided torture was better than riding it with an old saddle I found with micro adjust seatpost, as mine was in several bits around the garage, none of them appe...

Re: Things I wish someone would make

I still think the old style grit catchers are a good idea, although I have never had some myself. Someone on here said they had some but I couldn't fathom a way to attach them. I can repair a puncture, although fairly inept at it unless sitting at home with dry hands and rubber gloves to help get a ...

Re: Manx Cat does the End to End :)

Yes, watched it and really loved it, loved the slick editing and music, hey ho for Macs eh? You went close by me, over the suspension bridge from Lymm to Hollins Green. I often see E to Enders going over there. Yesterday I saw some supported E2E's stopping for a drink. They had been on the route thr...

Re: Manx Cat does the End to End :)

I've not been on here for a while, too many websites to look at! Where can I find the video Mary of your E to E? Well done by the way and, yes, you could certainly have done it on your own. It's a pity you couldn't have found someone to do it with you. Hope you're keeping well and still posting lots...

Re: £350

Just think what you've saved by nOT having your nails done! Haaaaaa ha! I fail to see how women can fork out £25 to have their nails done, and I'm one myself. Just think how dirty they'd get when you're cleaning your bike.

Re: Tea Shoppes.....

fancied some jam with it,went back to the counter only to be told it would be an extra 30pence, I declined on principle. it annoys me that folk think food should come with free stuff. if you go to a bike shop and buy a bike, you don't then ask for a free trailer. if you went to an offy for a bottle...

Signing In

A few weeks ago I signed in giving another username by mistake. A couple of times later I put the correct details in to log in and then a message came up telling me I had exceeded number of tries. I had only entered my correct username and password on that occasion, so why should this message come u...
