On the odd occasion , I ride from Bognor to Brighton along the coast road , taking in Littlehampton /Worthing proms which you can now cycle along , though Shoreham is a bit industrial to look at . And I once rode from Bognor to West Wellow in the New Forrest to the In-laws Via Chichester-Bedhampton ...

I used tomato ketchup on an old frame ,the acid that makes two pence clean ( like you tried as a child ) worked wonders

It's still early days for it , they will get feed back and it should improve .
