after your first reply I thought you were being funny , but now I know you know stuff
I'm thinking of getting one of these to run it on long stints , with insulation !

Xtra power for Garmin 800
Hi , I have a Garmin 800 and this weekend i took part in the St Crispin’s Day Night Ride, a 100 mile ride at night in the freezing cold , which was not a problem for me But poor Garmin gave out after 50 miles I'm sure due to the cold as I've done a 100 mile ride with it before in the summer and had power to spare at the end .
So it never occurred to me about the cold being a problem .
does anyone know of a bigger power source that could have held out for 14 hours in the cold of winter ?
Regards
Ade

Re: Brighton to Southampton - your thoughts
On the odd occasion , I ride from Bognor to Brighton along the coast road , taking in Littlehampton /Worthing proms which you can now cycle along , though Shoreham is a bit industrial to look at .
And I once rode from Bognor to West Wellow in the New Forrest to the In-laws Via Chichester-Bedhampton -Portsdown hill-Wickham-Botley-Hedge End-Romsey then the back roads to Canada !
