Only fail when you run out of gas.....Takes about 3 months for that to happen. Just buy new before you go on a trip or fill your old one....Simples :D

I would think this has been mentioned....But all I use is a gas cooker lighter from Tesco (and others) its like a ciggy lighter with a long plastic tube on so goes straight to the burner and your fingers are well away....Simples 8)

Just done similar route...Interest in WW2 and invasion beaches etc. Day 1..Started Pompey to Chebourg from the port went across to Ravenoville using the D61 road and camped overnight at Camping Cormoran. Day2..Ravenoville to St Mere Eglise then Carentan camping at Le Haut Dick. Day 3.. Carentan to P...

Like I say you just cant convince people about weight until they sample it for themselves.... :lol: To be fair to Springy though he made it all the way carrying all this cr+p and got to 500 metres of the return ferry port in Caen before his saddle bolt snapped and he had his first and last mechanica...

You could always just use Milton baby wipes, sold in Sainsbury/Tesco etc for £2 I use them for cleaning pots on my Trianga plus plate and cup. Also good for hygiene under arms legs and sweaty bits.

I use em on my cycle camping trips never a prob even if there are washing up sinks :idea:

No longer a member of CTC /CUK but I do have a view on things....I was once a member of a camping club with all the members chat meetings etc being done via Yahoo.....Then some brain at HQ thought that as the membership was mainly older folk it would be a great idea to close the Yahoo system and enf...

RBM......Easy mileage, the longest day was 45 miles and the rest about 25...It was only just over 130 miles altogether. Me and nine other like minded nutters do the beaches. Some of the uys found their bikes at the back of the shed untouched since 1987! :lol:
