new shoes, new pedals, new cleats
Got all the gear now but lack the bottle to go on a long ride. Suppose I have a mishap and have to push the bike home. Will I be able to walk miles in my cleats? And what will my cleats and legs look like afterwards... Somehow I just don't trust my luck. This is my first clip-in set-up and I lack co...

Re: Undoing the Powerlink
. I had no trouble releasing the SRAM Powerlink on my 8 speed road bike and managed with just my bare hands. It was a different story with my 7 speed hybrid bike. Couldn't shift it with my bare hands. I couldn't figure why not. Consulted the Bicycle Tutor: http://bicycletutor.com/quick-release-chai...

Re: Dotbike - good service
I used dotbike a couple of years ago and vowed never to do so again. I bought a U lock from them and when it arrived the keys would not open it. I phoned them up and spoke to Neil who simply laughed at me and basicly told me I had bought a cheap piece of rubbish, but told me to post it back to them ...

Re: A supple neck.
Thanks for your suggestions everyone. I am also trying lowering my PC monitor as I spend more time on the PC than I spend on cycling. Hopefully that will change.

A supple neck.
None of us has eyes in the back of our heads - it would be a fine thing if we did. 360 degree vision is absolutely essential in navigating a roadway which we must mostly share with four wheeled vehicles weighing one hundred times more than us. I suffer from a chronic stiff neck which hampers my abil...

Re: Van Nicholas ?
I think it may be a bad time financially to buy a Van Nicholas from the view that they are a Dutch firm building their bikes in Holland and pricing them in Euros. Presently the Pound is very weak against the Euro making the bike that much dearer. But then the entry bike, the new Mistral, is only 1,6...

. Titanium (pronounced /taɪˈteɪniəm/) is a chemical element with the symbol Ti and atomic number 22. Sometimes called the “space age metal”, it has a low density and is a strong, lustrous, corrosion-resistant (including to sea water, aqua regia and chlorine) transition metal with a silver color. Ti...
