Re: CANNONDALE BAD BOY - WIDE TYRES

Hi. Not quite sure if this relevant, but I had a bad boy and needed to replace the tyres. I got some nice white ones as a contrast to the back frame, and fitted them-but there was a problem with the front one, even though it was the same size as the originals, in that when the wheel was spun, the ty...

Re: Rear Rechargeable Bike Light?

Hi....I've got a light and motion 180 vis rear light-around £70 when I bought it....nice and bright, sturdy build and usb rechargeable-been much more reliable than others I've had such as smart and the like.

Re: Are the p******e fairies having a laugh?

I've got a similar problem with my mountain bike at the moment.....just cannot find it at all. Don't want to teach egg sucking etc.....but you are checking the tyre for offending objects? (of course you are......just asking  )

Re: Merseyrail Underground Stations

ok..I'd change at central; there's an escalator from the platform down to the Wirral line (Wirral line is signposted). Not sure re lift....thee is one going up to the main concourse....not sure re going down ...never had to think about it or use it! Changing at Moorfields IIRC is a bit more of a faf...

Re: Merseyrail Underground Stations

Hi. Merseyrail carriages have dedicated bike spaces...at either end of a 3 coach train I think; they will take 2 bikes in each space quite comfortably. In peak hours some services run 6 coach trains..so more spaces, but obviously these can get very crowded with the obvious problem. Where are you goi...

Re: Help with choosing bike type and/or commute through Lond

my 2d worth.....agree most bikes should be ok; from what people say, you might be better using the roads-while you say you've sussed out the tow path, have you done so during your actual travel hours (apols if this is insulting!)..and getting hold of a copy of city cycling by Richard Balantine might...

Re: Budget Commuting Bike

Hmm. Can easily see the point of dynamos. I wish I knew now what I needed to know 5-6 years ago when I got back into cycling and started a 20 mile round commute-I found the ideal bike I think-looked gorgeous, with rohloff hub, dynamo lights -just needed mudguards fitting (it was the Villiers Voyager...

Re: Woollen jersey (not a review but a question)

What are you willing to pay? I've got a Helly Hansen freeze top..had it for 3/4 years now..very good value in my opinion. Think I paid £50 for it..seem to be a bit more expensive now, but worth it IMV

Re: Saddle bag loops solution?

I had some Carradice things..poo to the power of a thousand..... impossible to fit unless (in my view) you can get two hands to do the job of four! Think SJS cycles have something a bit more user friendly-as Brucey has mentioned.

Re: sefton coast route

Hi. We're right on top of it and probably about half way along (in Hightown). Not sure what you want to know...I haven't ridden it all, but have been down as far as Seaforth where the path seems to end IIRC, so not sure how to get to Bootle; joining the path at Seaforth and heading north you go alon...

Re: Paul Villiers - frame builder

Hi Boveybob. Not much help this, but I contacted him earlier this year for a price and got a very quick response. His website seems to have the 'undergoing redesign' message for a few years at least I think..and of late finding the website has been problematic...so not sure what's going on there-won...

Anyway, I've only posted to mention that we seem to have managed quite a long thread about eggs without anybody pointing out that un ouef's enough.

That is absolutely outrageous!!
