Re: Single Use Plastics

One reason veg are 'over wrapped' in plastic is that it extends shelf life - and therefore reduces waste.

Engage dense mode..

Why not a lithium base grease (which is what my general purpose grease says it is)?

Re: Petition for PR reform

That was the Alternative Vote system. Very complicated perhaps, or that's the way it seemed. PR is a different kettle of fish. How was AVS complicated? You nominated your order of preference of the candidates. If there was a majority vote then that was it. Else the candidate with fewest votes was e...

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

I don't know about anyone else on this forum, but I am an independent chap. I'm my own boss and I expect others to be like me too. I have asked for advice on here. Whether I act on it or not is my decision, but I do listen/read it. Threads long enough will give contradictory advice anyway. As for t...

Re: Nick Freeman Attacks "exceptional hardship"

You said poor drivers, apropos offences related to the practice of driving, hence my comment. I note the different definition you now introduce. Surely poor driving is creating a danger to others or yourself and encompasses all the things they include, be they 'using mobile 'phone, poor vehicle mai...

I'm going to defend the trykers - with a massive caveat. They are reasonably fairy resistant, unless you live somewhere with flints or similar sharps - the sidewalls in particular are quite vulnerable, but the meat of the tread does a reasonable job, but can hold onto shards. resulting in eventual ...

All this sovereignty talk...

There are about 34k laws on our statute books (commons library)
About 4.5k of those are influenced by EU legislation.
72 of those we voted against.

Can the leavers name one?

Its not a question of sovereignty...

Re: I do love safety cameras!

The most woeful argument ever is the "revenue claim". It is not revenue, that implies the system is designed to have an income, and the claim is deeply flawed. Aye well, Edouard Philippe tipped his hand when he let slip that he had expected the 10 kph reduction in speed limit to bring in ...

So long as you replace “in place of” with “alongside” anti depressants then you can get another vote as well.

I’ve done the wild Wales Challenge on a trike before.

Plenty of narrow bits of road, but nothing antintrike.

Can’t speak for any non-road routes there though.
