Re: Help me with my wobbly Diverge - Front Futureshock

When you say you tightened the preload do you mean the bearing Allen bolts on the duck billed piece. Those tighten the bearings, from what I remember, they consist of two Allen bolts, 2 mm and 2.5 mm. Use the 2mm to tighten down the bearing and the 2.5mm to lock the smaller one in place. Obviously y...

Re: Help me with my wobbly Diverge - Front Futureshock

The future shocks had a recall which could explain the problem. Check to see if yours needs an upgraded clamp/bearing press.

I’m interested. When you say little used, how old? And how was it stored?
Thanks

Re: Cable outers and headset bearings

Some brake hangers had a lug or flat to the rear which located in a groove or flat on efork column threading. Not a good design but good for quick assembly. Check to see if the hanger has one and may have moved slightly out of location. Just needs a tap back to free it.

Re: Garmin rear light

Thanks to all.
I’m thinking that the problem is the head unit, garmin edge 800, not having sensor connection for it.

Garmin rear light

Does anyone know if these have a pairing mode (button press etc) or do they pair when turned on and you just search for the light on the head unit?

qr/bolt thro

Many wheels come with adapters for changing the method of fitment from bolt through to qr.
Can the adapter be popped in and out if necessary or would that wear them out?
Is it a possibility that one pair of wheels can be used for two bikes?

Re: Carbon Fork - corrosion issue with dropout

Bad glueing. Carbon and aluminium should never come into contact, excellent electrolytic cell.

Check the carbon pin to see if it is the same diameter all the way up.

Re: Unusual frame braze on - Campagnolo?

My levers for the braze on boss came with a backing plate just like that, made to fit the campag braze on boss, no bodging required. The cable guide simply means the cable never comes out of the groove, even if slack.

I remember a frame building book written by a chap called Talbot. Really good, worth a read.
