Re: Aldi set up online cycle kit retailing service

I bought the white spd shoes with Velcro straps about three years ago. Still going well. The leg warmers are ok too but not the overshoes.
I also bought a turbo trainer but after a few uses the red roller was showing alarming wear.

Re: ALDI's biggest ever bike stuff sale

I bought a turbo trainer for £50. Not had a chance to try it yet but it looks to be of decent quality. I bought a couple of pairs of road shoes two years ago ( one white and one brown). I use spd's and have found the shoes to be great and hard wearing. I got arm and leg warmers last March and they w...

Are these what you're after? I use these traditional gloves.

Re: Campaign to have Vintage CTC jerseys reissued!!

I have a photo of me wearing one of those jerseys, a red one and I think it was short sleeve. I'll have to dig it out of the loft!

Re: Ash Cycles

I bought a Raleigh Royal touring bike from them a couple of years ago. It was delivered promptly and was well packed up. I just put the pedals on, front wheel and straightened the handlebars and I was away. The gears were set up ok and the brakes were too. I am more than happy with the service I got...

Re: CTC challenge rides

You will put into a group of about 10 riders and given separate start times, but that is totally flexible and you can leave the group and ride with anyone or on your own if the pace is too much, but there will be plenty of chances of company from a very friendly group. There is also the Merseyside C...

I bought some shoes from a drug dealer. I don't know what he laced them with but I've been tripping all day

Re: Tesco Hudl 2

I bought a Hudl2 a couple of weeks ago. Never had a tablet before so can't compare to others, but so far it's been great. I use the camera and video quite a lot and find the resolution to be good. I don't use many apps so can't really comment on that.

Re: Cycling Weekly Magazine

I actually had a subscription to Cycling Weakly for a number of years in the eighties. Back then it was black and white photos and a comprehensive review of the British cycling scene. It's a pale imitation of what it once was.
