Re: What camera?

The Veho Muvi is just an arbitrarily uppriced version of this.

Re: Worst youtube clip i've seen...

Which you'd know if you'd read the thread. If you turn to watch them they are much less inclined pull these sorts of stokes and if they do you know where they are - as I said. You mean the way magnatom said he believed he had? I could explain my issues with your initial post further, but it's way o...

Re: Worst youtube clip i've seen...

I haven't read the thread...<waffle> I didn't realise this thread was owned by someone angry and perfect or I wouldn't have bothered contributing. My mistake. I assume you are referring to me? I am neither angry nor perfect, nor do I feel I 'own' this thread - once it's posted it belongs to everyon...

Re: Worst youtube clip i've seen...

I haven't read the thread...<waffle> Perhaps you should have? The cyclist in the clip has commented very informatively in it, highlighting aspects of the incident you would not otherwise be aware of. Have motorists started recording their trips because somebody will do something stupid? I think it ...

Re: Worst youtube clip i've seen...

I had to stop reading, 25% of them thought that the incident was entirely the cyclists fault and that scares me. These are professional drivers. Comments about "both of them approached the roundabout at speed so they're both to blame" - what happened to giving way to traffic from the right...

Re: Worst youtube clip i've seen...

The fact Magnatron was cycling straight across the round about why was he in the right hand lane? Perhaps his view from the camera is obscurred but he should have been on the left hand side and perhaps actually slowed for the roundabout. As far as I can tell from the grainy video, there are two lef...

Re: Worst youtube clip i've seen...

I disagree with people saying Magnatom's cycling is at fault here. I think the fact that there are very few uploads over the time period and that he is presumably commuting every day means that he has relatively few incidents. Also, his cycling might not be perfect, but it is at least legal, which i...

Re: Worst youtube clip i've seen...

but how the cyclist didn't spot that danger escapes me  I thought about that as well, but he does see the danger and stops, the lorry then ends up closer to him because it's turning. However prepared we are when we're cycling we have to admit that none of us would automatically assume that t...

The first link is to Magnatom's page, so you'd know who I was talking about (not that you necessarily wouldn't) the video I was referring to is at the bottom of the post.

Worst youtube clip i've seen...

I don't know if Magnatom is a member here so if he is I apologise for stepping on toes or whatever, but this clip needs to be seen! It's the most appalling piece of driving i've seen in a while by the driver of one of the most dangerous types of vehicles on the road for cyclists. Contains swearing, ...

Here's an interesting response from a car forum I frequent :D <mod: section of post with inappropriate language removed - suggest that you put in a link to it with warnings about it's content rather than copy it here> - I would have linked this but it's in a section you have to log in for - I thoug...

Re: Driving, with oncoming cyclist about to be overtaken

I usually maintain my road posisition. If he decides to overtake and cross the line then i'll take avoiding action which i'll be ready for, but i'm not going to encourage the squeezy overtake by making room for it.
