Re: Street Art

Colin,

It is a pity that less talented individuals have to 'tag' over the original work thus spoiling it.

A much photographed sheep in a N-Yorks moor bus stop. Sadly someone added a very poor triangular figure which has spoiled it somewhat.

CTC shield on TV

I saw the trailer for the Christmas episode of Downton Abbey and noticed on the front wall of the Humber dealer's garage a CTC winged Wheel.

Can't say I have ever noticed one on TV or on film before, has anybody else seen one? If so where and on which programme/film?

Re: Ay up, me duck ...

Being served in a petrol station just over the river Tamar, the female attendant called me "My lover". Bit odd I thought. But not so odd as being served in a pub by a grizzly looking, rugby playing, 6 foot tall barman who also called me my lover. When I first came to East Cleveland,...

Re: Would you have said something?

It's very easy to answer this post with a 'you should have' We are all different and our ability to deal with aggressive drivers is varied. The reaction of drivers will vary greatly too. I am no shrinking violet. I have challenged drivers on many occasions. I advise a polite and quite approach. Anyt...

challenger tank.jpg I'll bet not many people pull out in front of one of these and say SMIDSY. They'd be lucky if they can say anything. I don't recall anyone pulling out in front of any of the Army wagons I drove, especially the ones carrying several tons of aircraft fuel. In most cases drivers do...

Re: Alphabetical Thread. Bridges

What are we going to do about X ?

I can't find any UK bridge with a name starting with X and know of no creek/river/stream with a name starting with X.

Should we open it up to anywhere in the world, in the hope that somebody has a photo taken in China. :D
