I'd be up for a mini adventure. It would be nice to see as many of the troupe as possible.....and I've always fancied coast to coast. I even have a bike with gears now.....Image although I'd probably ride fixed... :lol:

I'm sure I used my brake otherwise my legs would have been spinning like a tumble dryer on the descents..... :lol:

He’ll be fine. It’s equipped with Sturmey Archer’s finest. If I can get up St Michaels Hill in Bristol on my similarly geared 1936 F W Evans light tourer I’m sure he’ll be OK in Cornwall, Devon, Shap, etc. The brakes on the other hand.... :shock:

Thanks John, Paul beat you to it.
It's for a mature friend who's hoping to do it on a vintage rod braked, 3 speed bike.....sounds good, I'm quite tempted.... :D

Hopefully I'm doing JOGLE next year, so it would be good to do the off road version in 2020. I just need to find something interesting to ride this year......

I'm struggling to find a way of doing it without carrying camping gear, or even if it was to be B&B's, I can't work out how riding kit could be cleaned quickly enough so I didn't end up carrying lots of clothes (especially if the weather was wet). I'm not fit enough to ride a fully laden bike th...

I think the logistics of this ride means it's a non starter. Pity.....I wonder if anyone's done it on a fixed gear mountain bike???

So 100 miles a day with camping gear??? I just did 73 miles today and that was enough to make me think of having a day off the bike tomorrow....plus if there's a party at the end how are they going to cater for riders arriving on a verity of dates, or is it a 4 day party??? That might be interesting...
