Re: Shimano brake blocks in Campagnolo Veloce Calipers ?

Over many years I have come to rely on Clarks blocks. Never been anything other than great.

Re: Gear issues

Thanks, yes pretty sure they are okay. Seems that I get it working okay and then over what can be just ten or twenty miles it goes off again, like something is slipping out of sync. Once it goes off, does it stay that way for the start of the next ride, or does each ride start out OK but then go of...

Re: Gear issues

Many thanks for these. After a suggestion elsewhere of a bent hanger, this was a revelation for around 150 miles. No, back to skipping, jumping and all round crapness. Could it be the shifter. It is a 105, second hand. Really don't want to spend any more money!! Thank you.

Re: Using a Tag-Along with an adult (rider)

I have taken small adults on our Han trailer. Easier than a child as they are less prone to unexpected movements. I've never used one which attaches to the seat post. Where are you? You could try ours.

Re: Gear issues

Many thanks, chain is a nearly new SRAM and cabling is new too. I may check though as it is the long route (CX bike).

Gear issues

People, I am an average home mechanic but am now a little frustrated. My 105/Ultegra set up is not changing as well as I'd like. In essence moving to an easier sprocket is hesitant on gears 6-10, but fine 1-5. I have changed cables and gone through the usual barrel adjuster caper, but no joy. It is ...

Magicshine Monteer 1400

People, I asked recently about any experiences of the Ravemen PR series lights. I have now discovered the Magicshine Monteer 1400. Anyone have one? Any good? Thank you. Robert.

Re: Best Quality Bike RepairStand for £30-£60?

I have this one

https://www.jejamescycles.com/raleigh-b ... 20359.html

Sadly out of stock here, but have a search.

However I purchased it for £55 on sale with Ribble around seven years ago. Is rock solid, but is heavy to move if you need to.

Bikes get chips and scratches. They are part of the deal. You can look at them as memories.

Hello,

Anyone have any experience of Ravemen PR series lights on here? They're on my shortlist. Thank you.

Re: Rear compatibility

Many thanks for this. The Deore interests me greatly. I assume it works as chain and ratio match. Is your experience one of rapid gear change reactivity? Thanks again.

Rear compatibility

People, can someone please tell me if my 105 shifter will work harmoniously with a 'Shimano Deore M610 Shadow Rear Derailleur'. I'd like a long cage you see. Thank you.

Re: New bike

For that kind of money ~£900+ I'd also look at going somewhere you'll get measured up and have parts such as stems and bars fitted to you. Places such as Ribble. Fit is so important, you will also get choice of saddle and pedals. Good luck.
