Re: Solid white lines mean mandatory for cycle lanes.....rig
While I obviously cannot speak for all the various TROs governing cycle lanes, the ones in Cambridgshire give NO exemption for loading, unloading, picking up or setting down. But it's completely meaningless anyway, because trying to get the police to prosecute (or even FPN) any driver for infringin...

Hmmm, that approach smells of danger.
Hope you stay fit and well though with no long term injury.

If he was on his way to an emergency with my 90 year old mother I'd be glad he did what he did.
As you all would.

Re: Dratted sun
Any driver driving with a small amount of frost scraped off from their windscreens should be done... It's already illegal: Highway Code Rule 229 Before you set off you MUST be able to see, so clear all snow and ice from all your windows. Which is enshrined in - Road Vehicles (Construction & Use...

Re: What distance should be respected...
So you saw a car being driven erratically by a driver on the phone and followed at a distance where you could not safely stop or lost concentration?
Don't think you've got much chance, but good luck anyway.

Wow. This seems to have really got to you. You're not the first, you're not the last that will get miffed at some form of public service beurecracy today. I can understand your frustration but don't let it grind you down in vengeance. I find people in private sector service jobs no better than govt...

I don't see an issue really, you'll know next time and have the appropriate I.D with you. The issues are:- 15 years and never needing anything other than proof of address. They're happy to simply post it through a door with no knowledge of the people who live there, so why does picking it up requir...

Re: Not case sensitive?
It is a very serious issue and to me is just downright laziness. You would never send a job application or submit an article to a newspaper or magazine just in lower case. It is just part of a whole dumbing down, litter strewn, can't be bothered culture which started in the 1960's. calm down its on...

Maybe it's your 'come and hit me' face or the 'Jeremy Clarkson is gay' T-shirt that you wear that is the root of your problem. I'm considering two shirts: - Smile you're on candid camera or a "proper" CCTV logo - I've had [4] wing mirrors this month where [4] is a paper insert or w...

Re: Child scratched car parked on pavement
This sort of scenario annoys me. Cars aren't allowed to park on footways, end of. When they do and something happens, they expect someone else to take the blame. Is nobody responsible for their own stupidity anymore? Ask them if they're insured. if they say yes, then tell them to *** off. Graham (w...

Re: So I have finished my job and now I'm cycling to China
Good luck to you and I admire your drive and adventure to do this.
My area of concern would be timing. Is winter really the best time to do this?
I know winter in Turkey, Iran and high altitude countries across to China can be severe.
