... out and tried it again with the rim tape on the unbuilt rim, same as, tyre on, no levers. one thing that did occure to me, the well of the chrina rim is rounded whereas the Mavic is flat so you can get two beads side by side in the bottom of the well you can't do that with a Chrina ? Malc ...

Hi Mick IIRC you use the same style of brake blocks as me where you can remove the block from the carrier. I also use Chrina rims I've not had brake judder but I've heard that the blocks should have a degree or two of toe in so that the end of the block contacts first. My brakes are ...

I've got unequal spoke length on the rear. I can't remember the exact lengths :oops: ( i think it's 292 294 ) but there is a 2mm difference. Tiagra hubs, Chrina Rigida rims.
