Re: help in trying to remove part frozen seat stem

You just need a few willing assistants and a large work space. Have a BBQ, invite some friends round, and hey presto! job done.

Re: Colourful Socks

I once saw a beautiful and sexy woman on television say that men who wear comedy/colourful socks/ties/underwear are a big turn off to the opposite sex. Grey or black maybe dull but its not sad. Go for some trainer socks if you must have bright colours. Comedy clothes are only funny to the wearer.

Re: help in trying to remove part frozen seat stem

If you have access to a workbench and vice? Turn the bike upside down, assistant needed for this, clamp post in vice then turn the bike around the post. The extra leverage created by the bike frame may lossen it, lift the frame as you turn, gradually turning and lifting, hopefully it will pop out.

Re: Crank Brothers Mini Pump

I am giving this away to Tako. It will be in the post in the next day or so, winging it's way to a new owner. Maybe he can appreciate the wonderful design and efficiency of the pumping action. It switches between Shreader and Presta, has a built-in pressure gauge, and can even deliver high volume o...

Re: Tyre pressures

I had a similar problem with a 27" wheel, it would take air but then suddenly pop or puncture when the bike was moved. After checking I found it to be a sharp edge on one of the spoke nipples inside the rim. I filled down the rough edge and put a small dab of silicone on the nipple, after that ...

Re: Viscount bicycles!!

Thanks for I.D. ing it for me. I find the frame is quite light after converting and is a pleasure to ride. I had to retain the original cup and cone BB because of clearance issues in the shell with the amount of down tube extending into it. Will post a pic of it converted soon.
