Re: HPV Gekko

Thanks guys. I think what I'll do is to fit 2" BA's on the front and an M+ at the rear as it's thorn & flint city round here. I'll use the mudguards.

Re: HPV Gekko

Thanks. Looks like I'll have to buy new. Is the rack high enough to carry full sized 40l panniers? Do you know the max width of tyres as I'm thinking of putting balloon ones on for comfort? I toured with two full-size Ortlieb panniers and a medium "Dry Bag" no problems. They were difficul...

Re: Post-Covid-19: Could some ferry operators ban cyclists?

Latest from Brittany Ferries: We’ve had to take the tough decision to not accept any further bookings from foot passengers and cyclists too, there are significant operational hurdles involved in transporting them. We can review this as the season unfolds and if it changes, we’ll let you know. Wow! ...

Re: Post-Covid-19: Could some ferry operators ban cyclists?

Surely this is all nonsense. The ferry companies are starved of cash right now and they'll take anyone that they can. A lot of people won't be going on hols for years as they're got no cash, if they do it'll be a cheap apartment in Spain and a RyanAir flight. 20 bikes take up much less room than 10 ...

Re: Touring with bulky camera gear

You could consider a Vario Rack with your choice of camera bag strapped to it https://klickfix.com/en/products/detail/variants/vario-rack-1912s/ Advantages are fast access (not as fast as a regular handlebar bag though) and infinitely more practicable off the bike where I would hope most of your pho...

Re: Which Socket Screws

Ebay, there's several reputable traders who will do you small quantities at economical prices. This is the one I've used, they've supplied as expected https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/Bolt-World?_trksid=p2047675.l2563 Unless there's a reason to use dome heads, I'll chose caps because for the same size sc...

Which Socket Screws

Like most people I've ended up with a variety of hex socket screws (bolts). I never seem to have the correct one for the job or the thread looks a bit dodgy so I thought I'd buy a stock of them, stainless of course. Quantities under 20 seem uneconomic so I'm going to end up with enough for several l...

I'm pretty sure if use any suitable bottle eg Primus, MSR etc they'll all be fine. I would think that the cheap bottles wouldn't be safe
