Re: Help! People + cycles transport needed Bristol -> Portsmouth

If the trains are regular two of you could take one train and then the other two take the next one, might only be an hour between them. Have you considered riding, maybe two getting the train and two riding? I only mention it as I've done it a few times and it's a nice ride. Bath, Bristol railway p...

Re: NC 500 altnaharra food

Seems cheap to me. Think of it as the payment for being in a fabulous area slightly off the NC500 motorhome madness route. I think the nearest shop is Lairg.

Re: Osmand voice instructions.Suggestion.

Al Surely if you export it from Osmand on a tablet it's a gpx file and reimporting it back into Osmand on the phone results in the same problem as the OP has overcome. Question is - is there a native Osmand format which preserves all the extra info that you get by plotting it in Osmand. Hope that m...

Perhaps you can save it as a favourite and transfer the favourites file.

Re: Osmand voice instructions.Suggestion.

. . . . rather than using a.n.other generated gpx file as a template, why not just plot the route directly in Osmand ? (2019) Manual plotting from scratch would be a real pita and auto routing is not good in Osmand, not least because it's not a cycle specific program. Cycle.travel gives you a nicer...

Re: Solid shampoo bar

Tried one but it seemed to not last long and leave my flowing locks with a stiff residue. Maybe I was using too much but I did wash it out thoroughly. Good idea for touring though so I'll try it again.
I switched back to a concentrated liquid.

Re: Anyone Using OsmAnd - Voice Prompts Screen Off

Osmand have said that the screen on & off feature on the latest version 3.35 won't work as Android now prevents it. They advise downloading the previous 3.2 version and running them side by side using the same tracks folders etc. Works for me.

Any idea what the brand is or where to buy them?

Re: Hat

When really sunny I wear a baseball type with a long flap to cover the ears and neck under my helmet. Legionnaires hat I guess. Double brim raises smiles but who cares, sunstroke ain't funny.

How about rolling them around a large cardboard tube? No angles = no creases?
