This is getting boring from me - today was like Thursday - rain from getting up time to late evening.
You Scots are lucky - and I like your leader better that ours.

Re: How's your weather?

A fine day forecast turns out to be wet. A forecast for a wet morning, follows with a forecast for a dry aftern...

A few jobs to do outside including collecting the cut logs. I'll be painting the bathroom ceiling later, then I'll walk the doggy. Hopefully, the weather will hold, but the forecast is for rain (again).
It'll still rain Mick.

Re: Cyclist with road rage
In perspective - how many motorists have cyclists killed, and how many cyclists have motorists killed? :?: :? Following on from your immediately previous post - there are idiots on bikes and idiots driving vehicles. The idiots on bikes are just idiots, but idiots behind steering wheels can be kille...

Re: Spa Cycles (Harrogate)
Just to add to the accolades - Spa had some brake levers I'd despaired of - I ordered them over the 'phone last Tuesday. The cost was £49. The chap I spoke to said that if I gave an order for £50 it would be post free. I added some bar tape which took it to £52 - it seemed like a generous discount a...

Re: Heights of lights.
https://www.cyclinguk.org/lighting-regulations note that - there is (apparently) no minimum height for a front light. Max =1500mm - the range of permissible rear light heights (350-1500mm) is not the same as the range of permissible rear reflector heights (250-900mm). cheers Thanks Brucey - somehow...

Re: Requiem for An Honest Man?
By way of a P.S. - I quite agree with Polisman, but I struggle with some of his terminology : 'Proles'? 'Suborners'? 'Coteries'? 'Gharks'? Am I making wild guesses to fully understand? 'Hoos'? Oh, not mine! You have the incredible Mr. Cugel to thank for such literary splendididness! I do however in...

'The longer I live, the more I feel that the individual is not so much to blame - not even the worst individuals, not even the 'best' citizens - as the system of corruption which has grown up about us, and which rewards an honest man with a mere living and a crook with all the magnificence of our m...
