It would be interesting to see how these PSPOs are worded because the devil is very much in the detail.
Good luck trying to take enforcement action against people riding uninsured, unregistered, untaxed, unroadworthy, non-type approved e-motorbikes with a PSPO that prohibits cycling.

In this case, Gatherwell. The information enabling direct debit runs is submitted by the originator to the banks some days in advance. Once submitted the originator cannot make changes.
You can always cancel a direct debit with your bank, typically up to the day before the payment is due. Payment day itself is usually considered too late.

Finally, I've joined the fold

Pre-loved, swapped the saddle and lowered the gearing to better suit the local terrain.

A streetview link of signage from almost two years before this thread began has little relevance to the current status of the route.Pete Owens wrote: ↑26 May 2024, 4:06pm It is designated for shared pedestrian/cycle use:

Welcome to the forum.
No personal experience of Swytch.
Is this an issue with fitting the pedal sensor? Can you post some pics?

Re: The "Euston rush"
My own use of Euston is extremely limited, maybe once or twice a year and so far has been without a bike in tow.
AIUI the official line is that departure platforms are often determined/altered at short notice, to the extent that travellers are advised against using apps to determine the right platform because it could be the wrong one.

Re: Cycling UK in favour of banning e-bike private sales on ebay
This forum, including placing personal small ads on the for sale boards, is open to all. Whether Cycling UK instructs the moderators to delete ads relating to used e-bikes and their batteries remains to be seen. It remains a niche sales space.

Use XD2 with 24,34,46 on two bikes, 8 speed with 20+ year old mechs. No personal experience of anything modern on 10 speed.

Ready to haul* a small electrical appliance, pile of bricks and a weekly household shop at the same time; should the need ever arise.
*Set up on the driveway for the pic
. This has never been hauled, it would not be safe to try.

Not as if by magic, as if by being a responsible and conscientious road user who seeks out the up to date information.simonineaston wrote: ↑14 Oct 2024, 10:44amI’m wondering how the gov. expects those of us who learned to use the road alongside older versions of the code will absorb the new advice. You can sign up for email updates from DVSA on Highway Code changes (and all manner of other things). How this was done in days of yore is a mystery to me, possibly by way of spells and incantations

Re: Ebike at Bike Park Wales for the under-14s
Welcome to the forum.
A 'road' is as defined in section 142 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as any length of highway or of any other road to which the public has access. The Highways Act 1980 includes bridleways as Highways. If there is public access to the fire roads they're included in the definition too.
Off-road as the term is used in the Cycling UK article typically refers to riding on private land with the owners consent. If you own a few acres of field or woodland that don't have public access you can let your 12 year old ride their e-bike around them.
Natural Resources Wales say no U14s on e-bikes at BPW and I don't see any way to mount a legal challenge to their decision.
