I've got my photographs onto the MB ok.
I'm not impressed with your image manipulation system. When I tried earlier today, I was told that the Image Size was too large. BUT I've just uploaded the original images from the camera, that is 1.5MB ish for each one. Not only that they're about 2000 pixels wide. So much for 550x300!
If I try to get the images down to what is supposed to be required, they're 'Too Large'. If I leave them 'raw' and 'far too big', they're ok!
Why? But, then again, all's well that ends well!

I'm not impressed with The Forum's image manipulation system.
The pics are of Bike on the LEJOGLE trip last July.
Mercian Vincitore 1986, with Campag Mirage kit,
Brooks Team Pro saddle,
Mavic MA3 rims, shod with Vittoria Rubino Pro's.
Trailer is a Carry Freedom Y Frame with a suitcase strapped on!
1. Hiding from the rain in Bristol
Guess where!
On the way South over Drumochter Pass just off the A9
There was a dog barking the other side of the hedge.
The owner didn't know there was a mad E2E2E cyclist on the other side!

Socks
We were in Asda the other day, and bought me some White Sports Socks.
They're wonderful! They have a firm leg, have arch supports, and a padded sole. They're 76% cotton, 22% nylon and 2% lycra.
3 pairs for £4.
Very comfortable and cosy warm.

Well, come on then R2, get those thighs shortened! From what I remember of you lot up there, you're all too tall anyway. I met a chap from Abram the other day, he was a strange shape too!

Bikes. Why bother?
I've just got back from the Town, having done a spot of shopping. I've come back hot, sweaty, wet, tired and hungry.
Before I left home I had to make sure the tyres were ok, get dressed up in lycra, goretex, dinky white socks, silly shoes I can't walk in, put on a stupid helmet and silly little gloves.
I got soaked in a downpour, intimidated by motor vehicles of all shapes and sizes and struggled against the wind and the long hills.
Why do I bother? I could have just gone out and started the car and left it running out on the drive for 10 minutes to get the heater nice and hot and the windows demisted. I could have driven the 5 miles each way in complete luxury, letting the gas guzzling engine do the work. I could have put iron Maiden on the CD player, or even listened to Ken Bruce on Radio 2!
It only costs £2.60 to park the car, cheap enough isn't it? Petrol doesn't cost that much really.
I think I'm going to jack this cycling thing in. It's too tiring, and I look silly. I'll sell all my stuff on ebay - bike, gear, spares - the lot. I've had enough.

This is me by our garage door in the late 1950s. The bike you can see on the
left was my sister's, but she didn't ride it much. It was the first two-wheeler I rode!
It was a Phillips, navy-blue with cream mudguards.
(The car, on the other hand, was a two-tone black and grey Ford Anglia)

Hi Graham,
Sorry to keep you up so late. My wine glass is keeping me up!
My photo is an Adobe Photoshop Jpeg file.
I'll play around with it in the morning. It was scanned some time back, and I've taken it off a CD I made of old family photographs.
I'll get back to you (after breakfast!).
