Re: Waiting for the sun to melt the frost

Luckilly there's none of that white stuff up here, was loads of it but the sun thawed it quickly plus been on the coast and the salty air, it helps a bit.

I wear near to nothing when it was blistering cold, only stuff i was wearing was:

Thick socks
Thermal Pants undernearth cycling pants,
Thermal Top undernearth a thermal cycling top.
Winter cycling gloves
Helmet.

Only thing that was cold was my face.

Also my crown jewels, it went into hibernating.

I've never seen a metal fan blade before.

What car is it?

Is landy short for a land rover?

Re: Electrolyte Drink - Cheapest Option?

ASDA's home brand Isotonic drink. 4x500ml drinks @ £1.46 - Sometimes they do offers on them!

I did the C2C with them last year and worked fine, although did give me a bad wind on the last day.

Might of been the beans i ate for breakfast, who knows!

Re: 3 Cheers for the Gritters

Electrodes through the pavements/roads wouldn't go a miss, just to keep the warmth with-in the road.

However, i don't know how much it will cost and how efficient it will be.

Re: Royal Mail Driver Reporting

Tbh, i would of done the same.

Nothing coming the other way, plenty of room for the cyclist.

It's a win win situation.

Re: call me tight but...

Perhaps you need to install some software so the computer can read the Virgin box.

I can't really help anymore as i've not had any experience with set-top boxes on the laptops.

Re: Outlook to Live Mail?

You could copy and paste all the e-mail messages from outlook into live mail, make a new message and save it as a draft if you like.

Or just copy and paste the e-mails to your PC into word or notepad.

Just a GIve Way sign warning of a Give Way junction ahead, pointless tbh.

Re: Job Applications

Finally got an apprenticeship secured for a year at a warehouse driving forklifts.

I know how you feel, it was a whole year before that searching for a job. I'm over qualified working as a mechanic for some reason.

Sent hundreds of letters/e-mails out per month, only ever get a few back.

Re: Total Beginner (Newcastle Upon Tyne) Needs Help!!

Depends where abouts in newcastle you live, i live over the water in South Shields.

There's a good route on the river tyne from tynemouth priory all the way till you want to stop up the tyne.

You can do part of the keelmans way on gateshead side, crossing over on the milennium bridge etc.

I use google maps and sustrans for my cycle routes.

Re: Quad muscle improvement needed!!!

I wouldn't say stretching is a waste of time. . .

I've tested this out numerous times when i forget to stretch.

If you don't stretch and jump on the bike straight away your legs are tight and you can feel them going into a cramp mode, at least i do without stretching.

If i do stretch, i'm perfectly fine and geared up for cycling.
