I reckon so. There are usually a lot up on gumtree rather than ebay too.

Re: Please suggest bike for almost 6ft 6in guy

I'm 6'5" and recently got a 23" Specialised Hardrock Sport MTB. It's a bit too big for me really. Have had to buy a new stem to bring the bars in closer to me and higher up so that I'm sat in a comfortable position. The seat height isn't a problem obviously. I think I should have got a 21" bike with hindsight.

U lock mounting

Hi everyone,

I'm just getting back into cycling after about 9 years and have just got my new Specialized Hardrock Sport 2009 which it lovely :). I'm 6'5" and I got the 23" version of the bike. I have also bought a drinks bottle cage and bottle and a Kryptolock U lock.

Now I have a problem. I can't workout how to mount the lock to the bike so that I can use the drinks bottle at the same time (I have mounted the drinks holder to the down tube). The mounting bracket that comes with the lock protrudes a lot into the frame so that the lock itself it nowhere near flush with the frame (by about 2"). There is one place on seat tube (is that the right name for it? Not the tube of the seat itself but the tube that the seat fits into and forms part of the triangle in the frame) that would work but on the back of the seat tube there is a small bit of metal to guide the gearing cable - at the back of the "S" on the seat tube in this pic:

I also cannot attach it to the top bar because the cables run underneath and get in the way. And the downtube wouldn't work because it's too fat to get the mounting around.

So my question is this: Is there an alternate mounting for the Kryptolock locks that fits more flushly to the frame? At the moment I'm either going to have to just carry the lock on the handle bars or have it pointing off center on the seat tube and possibly interfere with the riding.

I'd have thought a lot of people would have had this trouble because most people don't have a 23" frame.

Any help much appreciated!
