Re: Anyone ridden in Morocco?

Cheers Si - I've heard of +/- 60 mile days, which is a loooong way on techical hilly singletrack, but not so far on landy/double track. But tbh it's singletrack that I like. Maybe need to research a bit more, or simply choose Spain :D

Anyone ridden in Morocco?

I've been considering a long ride for a holiday and fancy Morocco. Anyone ridden there? Anyone been on the guided mtb rides like the 'Trans Atlas'? I'm interested to know the physical stress, the level of technicality and any other feedback or recommendations. FWIW I've ridden in the Alps and in Sie...

Re: Your recommendations pls? XC fork

Thanks - the Recon is what I have on the bike at present - pleased with them in general, although not as plush as the Fox Vanillas I had before, and they seem to have been damaged as there is bad wear on only one side of each stantion. The remote lock-out has also given up working properly, thought ...

Re: what makes you fall when clipless?

I'd suggest *consciously* practising unclipping on both sides. The protracted problems arose, in my own experience, precisely on those occasions when the action isn't 'conscious'. Sorry maybe I wasn't clear - what I meant was if you make a point of practicing unclipping when you are new to clips, t...

Re: what makes you fall when clipless?

The adaptation is pretty quick in my experience (although my son did the classic "ride into car park and topple sideways" stunt on his MTB when first riding Spuds). I'd suggest *consciously* practising unclipping on both sides. My problems have usually come about when I have unclipped left...

Re: Being nice to car drivers

Uuumm not sure quite how you get to that conclusion NUKe - to me all he seems to be suggesting is that by being courteous we may encourage car drivers to do the same and return the 'favour'.

Yep, Mavic were definitely using homeworking crofters in the 18th century

Oh well, that's grand news - another Scottish success story then :)

Your recommendations pls? XC fork

Hi - I'm looking for recommendations for a good fork to replace an ageing Rochshox Recon 351. The Recon has been good, but I think has been damaged in a crash - both stantions are wearing fast on one side only. I've also had Magura Vidars (tough and surprisingly accomplished but very basic) and Fox ...
