100MILE RIDE....starts 0800..Ullapool....achiltibue..inverkirkaig..lochinver..kylesku..ullapool....by scenic route..hills numerous..scenery breathtaking.....

3 starters up till now..all welcome..

in the same vain..i know of a lorry driver who kept a bag of nuts and bolts handy for driverrs who cut him up...by the way he was arrested and charged....

change....sleeper train to london thursday night due to volcano ash......as cant be sure to fly friday.....

i know all about the highs and lows geographicly and mentally....i cycled spain east to west....cabo de creus to finnesterre.....and south to north....tarrifa to estace de bares....and i havnt done any big training mileages.....i prefer to advance with the journey....getting stronger day by day,,,stopping little and often is my way....a rest day here and there.......thanks for all the info

Well folks....time is getting nearer....and i'm trying to build up a network of who will be meeting up with me...and where...?..after launceston the route is quite flexible...

have decided to camp some nights ...bought a wild country gossamer tent....so will cary very minimal camping gear

21 febuary update....flight tickets bought, train tickets bought, some accomidation booked.....training going reasonably well , not as much cycling as i'd hoped because of snow and ice...doing swimming ,yoga,tai-chi,pilates....and cycling when its safe to do so...does anyone have suggestions on how to contact companions en route as my access to the internet will be limeted....i thought about mobile phone text messages..giving my exact location.....
