The rat catcher is there as well with items for sale, along with the sewer cleaner. http://i1085.photobucket.com/alb...

Re: Does anyone know ... ?

"Technical" is where the answer is derived by adding, subtracting, dividing or multiplying some numbers off a transducer somewhere on the bike or rider. "Does anyone know ... ?" is where the answer is subjective, guesswork or imaginary and can be argued over ad nauseum. PS. Votin...

Re: Non driving cyclists

How close does a car DRL have to be to affect the iris in broad daylight? Since this is a "medical fact" I assume someone must know the "facts" Not very close - I get badly dazzled by them at 100m range... Agreed that they are far too bright and unnecessarily so. A friend of min...

Re: Non driving cyclists

Totally agree that DRL's are a nuisance - some are brighter than others, most obscure the (often badly located) indicators, and ALL cause your eyes to register the lights, but not the vehicle- nor vehicles without lights (vehicle in this context includes cars, bikes and cycles. And wheelchairs!) Wh...

Re: Non driving cyclists

I wouldn't know which cars are equipped with DRLs and which are not - as far as I know it's compulsory to have them switched on in daytime, only in the Scandinavian countries and Poland. Personally I deplore the trend because, obviously, I want motorists to stay in the habit of keeping an eye open ...

Re: Garmin Edge Tour Plus-couple of questions

A good tip for the Edge Touring. Take it back and get an eTrex 30. The product which is now well out the back of its 'product lifecycle' is the TomTom Urban Rider motorcycle SatNav. Creme de la creme of the bicycle mountable navigation device. Not seen any other bicycle mountable 'GPS' device to com...

Re: Short Survey - Do you use service stations?

More than a few Audax Organisers use them as controls.
The service station people don't mind as long as the cyclists buy something.

Re: How important is KOPS?

I adjusted my bike many years ago, and I've not adjusted it since. I adjusted it so I was comfortable, but I'd already bought a frame that I reckoned was the right size for me. Fast forward 20odd years, and I'm still on the same bike, and I now have a computer and the internet and I discover this f...

24 is on Target for the year.
The Tinsel and Lanes Audax on 6th December should clinch it.

Re: Does anyone know.... about 27x11/4" Tyres

I think that as long as there are people riding bikes with these tyres fitted, there will be manufacturers making tyres for them. You need only look at other obsolete sizes that have not been sold on new bikes in years to see that; take 26 x 1-1/4" sizes for example. If you do want to carry on...
