The A39, is it busy start of July?

On my current route I am mainly on it and a little bit off from Bideford until I'm past Wadebridge and into St. Columb Major. This is a very long time of the road will be horribly busy.

Thanks,

Matt

End to End Certification...Waste of money?

Anyone else think that its a waste of money that would be better spent on celebratory drinks or getting home? I mean I don't need a 15 quid piece of paper to tell me or anyone else I have done it. After doing it my body, pictures, video and journal will tell me that I have. Anyone agree?

Re: Infuriating Transmission Problem eventually Solved.

Worst I have had was incorrectly set up gears. Not hard to adjust the rear mech after a quick buzz on the internet and turned out I had to high expectations for the a tripple front mech...if only I could afford a rohloff.

Is the A155 and A518 busy?

Will be riding on both in my JOGLE for a long stretch, would like to know if it is particularly busy as I could avoid.

Thanks.

Re: Nice Restoration project that my Dad took up.

A scan would be great whenever you can, thank you. I will get on to my dad to see if he can remember when and where he bought it, I'm sure he can. I know it was expensive as he bought it on insurance money received after his old bike was stolen and he claimed individually for the many upgrades he ha...

Front Dérailleur being stubborn !!

I have a 24 speed (3 by 8) factory set up on my Revolution country traveller which has a shimano acera rear mech and a FD-2303 8 Speed Triple Front Derailleur. The rear derailleur works and shifts a treat and is perfectly set up but I just simply can not get the front to follow suit! I have the uppe...

Re: How rare is LEJOG OR JOGLE?

Eddie Izzard, Marathon Man. One of the most inspiring things I have ever seen. He ran 6 Marathons a week for just over 7 weeks (51 days and 43 Marathons!!) He ran all over GB an NI. If you have watched the programme you will know what endurance running will do to an averagely fit man!

Re: JOGLE

Congratulations, you must of froze! On my training rides around Aberdeen during that period my feet nearly fell off so no wonder you got ill. Questions about the amount of gear you took...from the pictures I'm amazed at how much stuff you needed. Do you have a kit list I could see? as I will also be...

Re: Which bike?

Second the above comment. Edinburgh Bike Co-Op (http://www.edinburghcycles.com) offer 0% interest credit on-line as well as in store. I have the 2010 alu framed Revolution Country Traveller which cost 500 pounds and is a steal. It rides fast and comfortably and will hopefully be taking me on my JOGL...

Nice Restoration project that my Dad took up.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/reasonrj/sets/72157624125852812/ The bike as far as I am aware is towards the end of the 1970's. Reynolds 531 tubing. Campagnolo chainset, rear and front mech. Brooks B17 Champion. Originally I think it had a sticker on it saying Eclipse, any information on what this bik...

Re: How many end to enders don't wear cleats?

I fitted the shimano double sided MTB spd pedals, I paid 30 but on the web you can get them for about 20. Double sided means you don't have the problem of having the pedal the wrong way round. I bought shimano MT touring spd shoes at about 60, much easier to walk in and a stiff enough sole for energ...

Re: Ortlieb rollers, City Or Classic!?!?

Other difference are they can not be combined with the ortlieb rack dry bag as no clips. Also, as a matter of taste they are only available in that ghastly red...wont go well with my khaki green 25 year old karrimors on the front or back. What happened to any colour as long as its black...the red is...

Ortlieb rollers, City Or Classic!?!?

I am considering getting Ortlieb front or back rollers for my JOGLE this summer. Now the store http://www.roackandrescue.co.uk has the back rollers classic at an amazing 75 pounds but the city's are even better at 53 pounds! Now on the information available the only difference is Classics close usin...

Re: Pannier Problems.

My pannier rack Requires a hook of some kind for this sort of fixing as there isn't part of the rack that a loop could just slip over. Any idea where you can buy metal hooks?
