Which carrier ?

Can't remember, this was when Le Tour hit Le Havre many years ago, 8 or 9?

Have aword with the people from Lifecycle in the create centre, they should be able to provide some leaflets etc for the cause, maybe even get a bod along.

That's the case I'm referring to but yes they do seem to young to be grandparents. Looks like a ride over the weekend then.

Re: Winter Commuting Poll

Carried on through the winter on 25's and only changed the tyres back to the original Specialized Houffalize in 32s for the day of 3" snow in Bristol and ran them at 20psi which was OK in the snow but had to pump them up when the boss sent us home 2 hours later. Only came a cropper at 5 mph on an icy cobbled corner the once.

Re: Cycleway Tribute - Avonmouth Bridge M5 Bristol

I don't think it is. I can only think it is a memorial to those who died when the trolley they were working in under the bridge came off the rails and the workmwn fell to their deaths. I might be out that way at the WE and have a look for a name or two.

Re: ^^%%%%*%** Couriers

No  Amazon sent me an email saying CountourHD 1080 cameras were being sold for £165 at 9am, by 11am I got onto a PC at work and ordered one but had to pay £170. For some reason the price went up to £240 by time I got home

My wife had to see a patient in Eastleigh today, so we were able to pick this up.

The problem is that instead of sending me the £129 720p resolution head camera I ordered they have sent the £300 1080p HD resolution version.

I await their instructions, as to whether I keep the better camera due to their error and the inconvenience.

I got the £170 1080p camera, not the £300 version

Re: ^^%%%%*%** Couriers

UPS were given the duties of returning my Garmin to me. The driver called me as I wasn't at home and we met up late in the afternoon as he was doing a collection near where I work. Other dealings with UPS have been good too.

Re: Cycleway Tribute - Avonmouth Bridge M5 Bristol

IIRC the spanner and hammer are some way relted to the building of the bridge but didn't know anything about the tribute. Is it a permanent tribute or does it look like something that family have placed there to mark the passing of a relative?

Re: Wattage wars

Last year I was running 2x Cateye LD110, 1 Mars 3.0 and a Cateye light dangling from my bag. This year it is just a Superflash on my Timbik2 bag, Mars 3.0 on the saddlebag and 2 lifeline tiny leds on the helmet but these will be replaced with two Knog clones when they arrive from SE Asia. The Superflash points down due to the position on the bag so although it is bright it isn't pointing directly behind as is the MArs 3.0. Up front is a Fenix plus Cateye LD520, with the Fenix on flash I'm given more space in traffic jams even with it pointing 6 foot in front of my front wheel.

Re: Water bottles and taste

I've always used Zefal bottles and wash them out with hot soapy water before use and never had any platicy tastes from them. I tmight be the washing before use that sorts out the problem. I like the Zefal bottles cause the teat is a softer plastic, maybe even rubber.

Had a look around Robin's site but can't see the item listed. Why not buy direct? €11 is approx £10 posted, I can see SJSC charging similar, if not more by time p&p is added.
