I would suggest parking in Stamshaw-use the side roads between Twyford Avenue and the harbour eg Knox Meyrick etc.If you lock all smalls in the boot it will be fine there.I was brought up there-close knit working -class area with no time for toe-rags. Im off to St Malo on Thursday for 2 weeks from Portsmouth and found a very reasonable and well recommended parking space through parkatmyhouse.com

I'm off to Brittany in a couple of weeks and am considering stove options. Does anyone know if the threaded Coleman type gas canisters are widely available in France? I understand that they were difficult to find a few years ago, but wondered if things have changed.

I did the same ride last October over 2 days and can concur re the sineage in Bangor - A lovely ride to do over a couple of days though.
