Re: JOGLE June/July 2011

The route takes in Blackpool as I've a friend ownes a B&B.
The rest are places I would like to visit, or think would make a good photo opportunity.

As for the 'Cadbury bypass', that's down to Mick F's suggested course. :D
An extra 5 miles to avoid 900 feet of climbing sounds good to me

JOGLE June/July 2011

Hi everyone... again, Can you take a look at the proposed route for my upcoming 13 day JOGLE? I'm organising 4 of us, all on road bikes with my dad in a minibus following later on the same day. All accommodation is now booked, 5 Travelodge’s, 7 campsites, 1 B&B and 1 Hotel so the start and finis...

Re: LE2JOG - accomodation between Exeter and Bristol

I'm going to stay in the Travelodge at Sourton Down (Oakhampton).
Only cost me £16.67 for a twin room... For September 7th it’s £29 at the minute, for the first room at least.

Re: Land's End to Tintagel via Padstow Ferry?

The lack of a usable 'Drag to Edit' is a pain. The only solution seems to involve deleting the route bit by bit from the destination. Or starting again. Or I could end up saving it to my desktop as a TCX. I then upload to BH to cut straight across a footpath/ferry/field/one way street etc. (obvious...

Re: Land's End to Tintagel via Padstow Ferry?

As for creating a route over a ferry etc, click OFF the "Follow Roads" function and just click away and the course will follow where you put it. When you are happy, click ON the Follow Road again. Thanks for that Mick F, that'll make life easier :D Still no "reverse route" or &q...

Re: Land's End to Tintagel via Padstow Ferry?

brother nathaneil, not sure I understand why you alternate between Bike Hike and Bike Route Toaster? Is it purely to draw straight lines, rather than following roads? Yep, straight lines where no road exists so BRT can't plot a route as it want to follow a cycle path / road depending on which setti...

Re: Land's End to Tintagel via Padstow Ferry?

Hi Stumpy, it's off topic but may be of interest: Ignore the crazy loop round the estuary, we're taking the ferry, but I wasn't sure how to map that properly That's why I plan with: Bike Hike................. You can click on the map in the top right and it just draws a straight line AND: Bike Route...

Re: mini tour.........Im back!

The fact that no-one's said you can't do it with a 12-25 gives me some confidence! :D I'm JOGLE'ing in June/July and living in Bicester, there are few hills to practice on :( . We do have Brill Hill which I do every week. It's quite tough (http://www.everytrail.com/view_trip.php?trip_id=1001513) bu...

Okay, It's not Interesting, I just wondered who thought the brown "tourist info" sign on the left was necessary? http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=57.337119,-4.47753&spn=0,0.016469&t=h&z=17&layer=c&cbll=57.337132,-4.477702&panoid=eW00oD8DBPXoTGw...
