Re: Introductions - tell us about yourself

Hi, real name Linda.

I was a member of CTC (Liverpool) a very long time ago and (unbelieveably now) used to
go on the club runs and trained every night. Those were the days! We now have family
membership.

I have a shiny new 'comfort' bike for everyday use but still have two very old racers, one
of which will eventually be back on the road. I have given my daughter and grandson bikes
and like to drag them out. My son is a member of the RAF mountain bike team and refuses
to believe he takes after me :)

Although not currently fit enough to attempt club rides, I do hope to be. 20 miles a day is my
limit for now. I'm also aiming to do the battlefields charity ride next year.

Need help with tyre size please

Just returned to cycling after nearly 40 years. Although my new bike is a
comfy ride, I thought I would spruce up one of my old racers. The tyre sizes
are confusing me though. The tyre is marked 28 - 622 700x280. I can't work
out what size to buy. I've looked at all the charts and I'm lost :(
TIA

Re: Car Bike rack

I have a Mont Blanc Hi Mount 3 cycle carrier (from Argos).
Once you get the hang of it, very easy to adjust for your car.
Used on a Polo, Mondeo, Astra and now a Colt.

Hope that helps,
Linda
