I cycled 38.45 miles on Sunday according to my Cateye Mitty eight cycle computer, now the route was over fairly hilly ground from Mansfield to Barlow just north of Chesterfield. It appears I neglected to point out that the tacks had been in the tyre long enough for the heads to have been worn off, so I do not think they had been picked up locally

I was refering to what is known as undetaking whether this refers to the fact you're passing on the passenger side of the car or to fact it is quite dangerous.

I might be missing the point here but if the said cyclist was travelling down the inside of a slow or stationary que of cars was he not breaking the highway code I.E. overtaking on the inside or undertaking as some like to call it. Was he not breaking the law?
