Brooks leather grip spokes

Are these available? I've looked on the Brooks website and they're not listed. I'm looking for a pair of the 80mm spokes to shorten some grips.
Thank you

Re: Cheap folder

FWIW, I'd always fancied a folder and last year purchased a secondhand Dahon Vitesse D7. It's been a great bike 20" wheels, IHG and a small rack on the back. I've used it frequently for shopping trips, even used a Carry Freedom trailer on the rear. Bargain at £140. I get more people talking to me about it than any other of my trusty steeds.

Re: Bar-end rear view mirror

I have used these on 3 of my flat bar bikes, yes they are small but they give enough of a view from the rear in my opinion plus they fold out of the way when not in use.

Re: Painting spd pedal bodies

Many thanks for everyone's input and suggestions, the white Shimano pedals is the way I was thinking of going but the Welgo pedals may be the way to go. Fortunate to have quite a few bikes so the pedals won't get hammered to quickly, I'll check out the Welgo option.

Painting spd pedal bodies

I have some M520 pedals that are used and I'm thinking about stripping them down and painting the bodies red for a specific bike build. Has anyone ever attempted this or can anyone recommend a pair of red spd pedals although I doubt if they'll be as good as the Shimano ones.

Thank you

Thanks for that.

They're still open, give 'em a ring?

I did, I spoke to Paul who was very accommodating with my enquiry. He said that Neil Shankland would have built the frame and to give him a call which I did. If only he was as accommodating as Paul, I asked about the cost of a restoration and tried to get some information about the frame, his response was in my opinion quite rude and completely disinterested apart from the fact he managed to quote me an astronomical price for the restoration.
Needless to say I'll be taking my frame elsewhere.

Which Columbus tubing?

I'm currently restoring a Rixon bike that is made from Columbus tubing but I don't know which tubing was used as the decals hadn't been replaced when it was last painted. How do I know ? As I want to put the correct decals back on.

New/ old bike currently going through a restoration. Bargain at £140 and since sold the incorrect 8 speed groupset for £100!

I have a smashing Rixon frame kitted out with Dura-Ace 7800 and I’m very happy with it.

Yes it's a lovely frame, only today I stripped the paint off to find the frame number which is quite low begins with RN.

Looking forward to seeing it completed

Thank you Elcani, yes I was intending to use 10 speed cassette and chain.

Brucey wrote:yep. FWIW I prefer the look of 6500 to most later Ultegra variants too; I have had 6500 on a nice road bike (which sees only summertime use) for the last 20 years. I have not found a good reason to 'upgrade' as yet!

cheers

Thanks Brucey, it'll be a summer ride for me when it's completed.
