I have a complete love affair with the Selle smp lite 209 , i was diagnosed with an enlarged prostate a few years ago and did some internet searching and i could see that selle smp had done a fair bit of research into it , so i borrowed one from Dilgove to try and have not looked backwards since

I just popped in to Russell's, and apparently they built their own frames in the back of the shop; the framebuilders were the current owner's father and grandfather. Thanks for that , i e mailed the grandaughter when i first got it and got that impression but sadly no records were kept re dates etc...

But my only advice is to just get time in the saddle and make sure you are comfy .... oh and enjoy it

I have an F R Russell of Walsall bike and i trying to find who built there frames and seeing as Poyners were not a million miles away from Russells

Northamptonshire is a wonderful cycling county. I discovered after moving from Manchester over 40 years ago that the riding can be challenging - no big big climbs but not much flat either. There are a few good flattish routes, eg the Brampton Valley Way along the old railway from Northampton to Mar...

Speak to uk importers of the selle smp range as they do loan saddles on a 2 week period on some of there saddle , i think from memory they are called Dilglove based in Birmingham area

We have the 2008 C max and i have had 3 road bikes in all with fr wheels out and saddle lowered in easily


Our's is 2.0 petrol auto and can average 38 mpg on a run but normal is around 30 mpg in and around town and short runs .

came down with man flu , managed a visit to mum and dads where i promptly fell asleep ,then home and fell asleep again in the sofa , had to say sorry to my daughter for being such a lightweight .

but overall breakfast in bed and some Pokemon socks and a couple of every day wear tops :D
