Re: dozey pedestrians

He again said "where's your bell" so I pointed out that pedestrians don't hear the bell on my other bike, and I'm often verbally abused if I use it anyway. If I get any reaction at all, it's almost always a friendly smile (Route 63 South Derbyshire/Leicestershire) sometimes I get comments...

Re: Reverse-wearing a cassette...?

Reverse-wearing a cassette...? From the title of your post I thought you might be talking about disassembling the cassette and turning the rings so that they rotate in the opposite direction. There might be some mileage in that, provided that such a modified cassette still facilitates reasonable ge...

No there isn't. There isn't an electrical signal either.

Re: shared use

Cycling home from work a couple of weeks ago (old railway line part of route 63), I saw a thirty-something woman running the other way so I pulled over to my left at the same time as she pulled over to her right, I came to a stop since I could see that she was determined not to go to her left. At th...

Re: Who are the best/worst drivers on the road?

Worst - taxi drivers. I'm not talking about London Black Cab drivers - I don't have sufficient experience to judge them, I'm talking about local private hire vehicles.

Re: Close pass - am I overreacting or should I take a stand ?

Can't imagine the Police doing anything (you weren't hurt so case closed) so I'd take the company option. Don't threaten them with the police, threaten them with reporting them to the Health and Safety Executive.....

Re: Fumpa battery-powered bicycle pump (compressor)

Why? Totally unnecessary. Anyone fit enough to ride a bike would be fit enough to pump up a tyre using a traditional hand pump.

Re: BBC Bias again

I listened to that and was getting quite annoyed by the presenter who was constantly trying to get Nick to react, to his great credit, he stuck to a completely non confrontational stance and put over his points clearly and concisely. Appalling journalism. Just tried to make a complaint and the proce...

Re: Merging GPX files

I use MapSphere GPX Track Editor which allows you to open any number of tracks which can then be selected and merged. Download it here;-https://download.cnet.com/GPS-Track-Editor/3000-20422_4-75720240.html

Just noticed that you use MAC, don't know if they support it....
