Thanks Mark. That is bloody brilliant! I've probably spent 10+ hours scouring the internet and trying to figure it all out. What confused the hell out of me was the two rear derailleur gears on the Brompton and how to factor that into traditional gearing apps. From the chart, a 38T might be the way...

2 sets of wheels. currently shod with 28mm GP4000's for winter and 23mm corsa speed's for summer. the roads are good around here - PFI roads contract.

3x 28 hole - spoke head interference?
how can I work out if 3x lacing on a 28 spoke wheel build will cause spoke heads to be covered by crossing spokes?
XR31 rims (580mm erd) x miche RG2 hubs (spoke hole pcd front 41mm, rear 47mm).

standard brompton saddles seem to have a higher profile than many saddles. often to be found relatively cheap on eBay..
