Punctue mending for 700x25/28 road tubes

Having problems mending punctures any tips - currently clean tube check tyre but find that a slow puncture often results- i use PowerBond glue which generally works very well. I also place washer larger than patch over it and clamp it together. Any advice would be appreciated

Re: Mending slime tubes /mending punctures

The notion of hanging them up is quite interesting -
I did this more by accident than design last night and it has mended- the other thing I was thinking of was slipping a tiny piece of sponge into the tube to soak up the slime

Mending slime tubes /mending punctures

Is it worth mending Slime tubes? I ask as the slime seems to make the patch slip off. Also does the inner tube have to be deflated as patches are rarely of the right size - has any one tried mending a tube with a Skab, inflasting it then placing a patch over the Skab gluing it and holding it in plac...

Re: Use of S + S couplings/mudguards/rail travel (in uk)

I think your reply sums it all up - unless the guards are split as well its of little practical use. I'm thinking of splitting the guards and then attaching a bracket to the guards to re-assemble them -I think this would be feasible but as ecver with S + S couplings they are very fiddly ( understand...

Use of S + S couplings/mudguards/rail travel (in uk)

Has anyone used a frame fitted with S and S couplings and mudguards and had to split or remove mudguards in orfder that cycle can fit on the very limited space avaialble? the frame is fitted with 700c x 25 wheels which can be removed easily but i have found that even whith wheels removed the length ...

wHOLESALE LOCK REMOVAL HAS HAPPENED PREVIOUSLY AND (oops) they're putting up more signs to say its not allowed. I was told years ago that its illegal to lock a bike to street furniture anyone know if this is true or not?I really couldn't care less if it appears tatty or not what I want is the securi...

Re: rEMOVAL OF LOCKS BY lEICESTER cITY cOUNCIL

I fail to see w hy I should put myself in their position- what concerns me is the security of my cycle. If it is untidy so be it. If racks in adjacent street had the same notices or remnants thereof attached i would have saome sympathy at least they would be consistent. however this is not the case....

not exactly the stand is still there and they want the locks removed for cosmetic reasons.

No work is being done on the stands

rEMOVAL OF LOCKS BY lEICESTER cITY cOUNCIL

I have a spare U bar lock which LCC have stated they are going to remove on the grounds of health and safety ( re street Cleaning) whewn it is not used to lock cycle. Are they entilted to do same ? Should they not consider I leave it there to make it more difficult to remove my bike? When I took not...

Re: touring bike or sportive/"adventure road" bike?

You could try buying frame and forks and then getting LBS to build up bike. Very satisfying I did it with a Dolan Cyclo X Nice big/small cassette rings large chain wheel and rack with guards.(24 gears 52-28 chainrings and 13-28 I use it for touring with rack/panniers, weekly shop and audaxes. Very s...
