Does anyone know if Whiskers still do their list - I'd probably patronise them again, now that I've been reminded. AFAIK, they haven't done one for about 5 years. Alternatively, a decent machine shop should be able to score the post fron the inside with a few lines that would enable the post to be snapped out in about 4 - 6 pieces, like orange segments.

I've been dealing with Whisker's since the 1960s. They used to have shops in Kilburn, Goffs Oak and now Brownhills, Welwyn. J D (Joe) Whisker passed away a few years ago and now David and Andrew (his sons) run the company with Steve Ephgrave doing excellent work with them. They are excellent for old...

Picky point of the day:-
Derailleurs only have one jockey wheel, the upper one. The lower one is correctly called the tension wheel. :wink: :oops: :mrgreen:

+1 for the Lidl shoes. They are very cumfy and last a-g-e-s. I still have mine from about 3 years ago.

I'm lucky with my pressure washer as it has an adjustable pressure lance. This is turned down near bearings.

Those nice wooden stirring sticks from Costa coffee shops wrapped in a bit of WD40 soaked cloth work well on mine. :mrgreen:
