Re: XS, XXS Touring bikes.
the wayfarer was the test ride bike. it fit so well we bought it. perfect fot for 5ft lady. only need the add a slightly longer stem.
re the shimmy thing........ i dont get any shimmy at all on my xl dtour. either loaded or unloaded.
i am 6ft4'' and weigh 20 stone. and with loaded panniers the bike rides perfect.
i am going to buy a xl wayfarer to build up as a tough gravel type bike as it will take a 50mm tyre without guards. mated with 2 x 9 and wide drops it will no doubt be perfect.

Re: XS, XXS Touring bikes.
got a test ride at Spa tomorrow.
John has a XS wayfarer set up with flat bars, which is what we want.
also we will be adding 650b wheels which will lower it downa touch.
fingers crossed.
@531colin i ride a xl Dtour after 20 years or so riding various surly tourers. you hit a 6 with the Dtour. fantastic riding bike both loaded and unloaded.

XS, XXS Touring bikes.
looking for a xs or xxs touring bike for my wife. she is 5ft on the nail.
previous bike was a xs surly straggler, which wasnt ideal. toe overlap. a bit of frame shimmy when loaded with panniers downhill.
and a less than ideal rear dropout setup.
Spa cycles do a wayfarer in a xs which may fit. but not much else available.
she is currently riding a 700c camino which she isnt enjoying riding.
just wondering what other small people are using ?

Washington to Whitefish ??
possibly heading to the US next year for a months touring.
starting in Seattle, and heading to Whitefish Wyoming.
we have no idea of routes or route guides in the USA.
looking to stay on as quiet as possible routes, but not tough offroad route.
when travelling in Europe we use cycle.travel
i put start and destination in for the US trip we want to do, and it does give a route.
just wondering if there is a good cycle touring app or guide for the USA.
anyone ? thanks.

Re: Route up to Mont Gerbier De Jonc ?
@Angstrom
this 1st idea of yours is the route we have planned so far.
thanks very much. looks awesome.
This translates into combining some valley riding and high points with vistas.
Here is my proposal: https://cycle.travel/map/journey/616838

Re: RF ablation for Atrial fibrillation, any long term success
i went into AF in 2010. long story cut short,
2 x cardioversion. 2 x ablation. all reverted back quickly.
went in to sheffield hospital in 2014 for a surgical ablation ( open heart surgery. ) found a hole in a vessel. had my left atrial appendage removed to lessen the risk of stroke.
reverted back into AF in may 2023. cardiologist decided nothing more can be done. BUT i can ride my bike quite well with it. taking 1 med now which seems to be working for me. Tildiem. opens the blood vessels in the heart i think.
so keep on at the doctors. 1 think may now work whilst others do. good luck.
