Does anyone know what happened to the original site Bike Brothers. They were two brothers, both firemen and very keen cyclists. when I search on the internet I am coming up with a different site. regards DC

Bmblbzzz wrote:The crate would be fixed permanently to the rack, presumably. This is what people normally do with them.

As far as I am concerned carrying a rucksack while cycling is very dangerous. it throws you all off balance and covers up your reflective clothing. Get a good saddle bag. It should do the trick. Remember your bike is your horse, it carries the load, not you. After all you never saw John Wayne carrying a rucksack on his back. Panniers on the horse was his thing. DC

Name Change

As a member of the Cyclists Touring Club for a good number of years I resent the council's decision to abolish the original name. Surely members should have been asked to vote if they wanted to change the name or not. I thought we lived in a democracy. First they got rid of the old winged wheel logo, renegaded to the third division, then they got rid of Chris Juden and now this latest fiasco. From disgrunted member

Re: identify ctc badge

Don't hold your breath Hercule on getting any acknowledgement from the CTC for your years of membership. I have been a member since 1963, 50 years this month and never had as much as a postcard from them. As for the winged wheel the original CTC logo, as I said before you would not get mercedes benz or rolls royce down grading their logo for a new trendy one. They simply haven't a clue.
