Just bought a pair from wiggle, haven't used them yet but they have to be better than waterproof trousers, especially in warmer weather.

I saw a car yesterday with a notice in the rear window which said, "Actually I do own the road," I was tempted to put a demand for repairs on the windscreen.

There are 10 types of cyclist.

Those that understand binary, and those that don't.

Gazza

Couldn't that also have been 01 types?

Gold Hill (as was featured in the Hovis ads is actually in Shaftesbury, in Dorset). I have walked up and down it, not sure I'd like to do it on a bike.

Rule of thumb: if you're enjoying your cycling, it's probably doing you some good.

Don't confuse tough with rough. Tough men do things like ride in the Tour, rough ones make stupid comments about mirrors.

I don't know T/C without them there'd be even more traffic lights for colour blind cyclists and drivers to play Russian roulette with.

About an hour ago I witnessed a cyclist going through a red light. He was dressed as if he was a serious rider not an occasional one. The junction was quiet and he just continued through the light.

In my opinion he should have stopped, I would have done. It appeared as if he simply didn't want to break his rhythm. I was driving at the time and had the green light and his action although nowhere near any danger, annoyed me, it seemed selfish and sloppy like dropping litter.

I have a badly bulging disc and one of the options is a microdiscectomy, not sure I feel any more confident about it after reading these posts! :?

How did she pass her test if she can't recognise a level crossing? A farm type gate with a red circle on it! Maybe they should ban satnav in cars, if you're too stupid to find your way with a map, should you be in control of a lethal weapon?

Tour de France

I have long wanted to see a stage of the Le Tour, so when it was decided to include London, I knew I was going to be there to see it.

Some weeks ago they asked for volunteers to help steward it and I answered the call. I have to go for the first briefing session in about ten days.

I feel quite excited to think that I could be involved in this amazing event. Did anyone else volunteer?
