Re: Call to Prosecute Near Miss Cyclists

Hi There, A few points spring to mind, (1) I'm almost certain that there are warning lights at these crossings. (2) Why are "Half Barriers" permitted? They encourage slaloming! (3) Why where Police not properly deployed? The solution is quite simple, easy to enforce safe passage. In the ev...

Re: York Rally 2015

Hi There, My issue with the "EB Beer Festival" have been stated before, chiefly their "Narrow Mindedness" (Trike restrictions). But sadly the CTC Management are slipping back into the same narrow outlook, since Kevin Mayne departed? Mr Tuohy talks of getting "50'000 people t...

Polling Woes?

Hi there, I fail to see the point of the CTC Management setting up a "Canvas the Candidates" facility on-line? As Parliament has been dissolved the lazy former members will merely have a "Gone Fishing" type message, mine did! We are all being urged to get on-line for the assertio...

York Rally 2015

Hi there, Simple question - "Why is the CTC Management promoting Eroica Britannia so heavily, yet not show a single measure of support for the re-invigorated York Rally?". As the EB has illogical restrictions over who may ride what, it must surely be up to the CTC to provide for the broad ...

Re: RTA Liability report

Hi, Many years ago folk who couldn't think of driving without without a drink or three inside them were able to avail themselves of an insurance product to pay out if the should unfortunately get themselves banned from driving (St Christopher Policy). This was rightly banned, as it undoubtedly set m...

Re: Tools for drifting out bearings

Hi there, If the axle comes out why not pull the bearings out? Use a Rawlbolt to make a puller, slide hammer style! Not difficult to create. The slide hammer I use is simply a weight from a set of scales with a hole drilled through it. TTFN MM
