Anyone know if you can alter your ferry booking? if so is it free? Plan is to reach Roscoff and take ferry to Plymouth< but unsure of when it will be as heading north from Spain.

Re: Something to cover the bike.
I have just purchased a CTC poly travel bag AND a lightweight rain cover. The difference = Nowt. So the CTC bag will go back as it was 5 times the price of the rain cover.
May be of some help to someone on here.

As Tony r says, my experience with T-Mobile was basic NO 3g coverage all way across usa, you get used to waiting for pages to load.Good luck.

Re: Newbie long tour kit / equipment questions
I'm departing Gibraltar 24 Aug , heading for Cherbourg, tho I doubt we'll cross paths even if start dates are similar , as it's 50 mile per day average for me. You can use your 'apps' on the phones just check your data allowance in EU. I'm using x2 paper maps, France and Spain. Good luck.

Re: Cycling in Devon?
Having done the Transam and Lejog, Devons roads do compare with that of the Appalacians in VA and KY, they are old steep roads. Missouri or Misery
where similar too in that short and steep, tho' nothing like a few 25% grade I come across in Devon. Good luck.
