Re: London to Lisbon - leaving soon - advice welcome

Through Spain I would travel down to Pamplona pick up the camino and run through logrono, burgos, valladolid and salamanca where the Ruta dela plata runs south to Badajoz then chuck a right into Lisbon via Evora. Enjoy it should be great weather south of Burgos.

Re: Bournemouth - another cyclist hurt

Forgive me but I thought East way linked castle lane with charminster road. ? I am guessing you mean East avenue?
A woman cyclist was killed on that roundabout a few years ago.
My only advice is to make eye contact with the motorist entering the roundabout.

Re: cycle to santander

There is no longer a ferry to Poole freight or passenger from Northern Spain. You will have to use bilbao or Santander to Portsmouth.
Why not ride back? When are you going?

Am i right that godwin rode with the wind ? Winchester - Canterbury. HEMEL -Stoke. On numerous occasions? Also if Guiness are not going to recognise abrahams effort from the outset, why bother? Just my view. Dont bite my head off.

From +3c in Lapland, to 19c here in Prague (night temps) I think I can dispose of some of the gear. Can't see temps that low beyond Swiss, the only concern is do I h...
