Slotted shoe plates for toe clip/strap pedals.
Anyone know where I can find them?
All I can find are metal plates that are nail on (in this modern day and age! For goodness sake.....)
I remember there used to be plastic ones you could bolt on to the rear two holes on the bottom of the shoe..
But where are they now?
Thanks
Rod.

Re: Vitus Dural frame cleaning
The main triangle of the frame which is painted is fine but it's the the rear drop out, the headset and the forks which are polished aluminium which I would like to improve. The aluminium is scratched in places and I would like to clean it up. I used some very fine wet and dry/Autosol on an out of the way spot and found that it came up very clean. Would the best thing to do to clean off all the old surface lacquer(?) with wet and dry and Autosol/Brasso and then reapply new lacquer? Or leave well alone, it's not worth it!!

Re: Vitus Dural frame cleaning
Thanks, just as I thought. I was hoping for a magic solution I guess!
But elbow grease and hard work is the order of the day.

Vitus Dural frame cleaning
I've just bought a Vitus 992 Dural frame with the intention of putting together a nice looking 'retro' bike using as much original equipment as I can source without paying a fortune.! The frame has the usual scratches for a bike over 20 years old so can anyone tell me the best way to polish it up and protect it, or at least get the Dural looking reasonably good and 'shiny'?
Thanks, Rod
